Mark Wysocki, DVM
Dr. Mark Wysocki grew up in Dearborn, MI, and graduated from Michigan State University in 1983. He completed an internship in Springfield, MA, and was in private practice on Cape Cod, MA, Baltimore, MD, and Greenville, SC , before settling (for good) in the Asheville area.
Veterinary medicine is the perfect blend of his interest in science and love of animals. He receives great satisfaction from being able to comfort his clients by helping their four-legged family get well and stay healthy.
Dr. Wysocki enjoys exercising at the YMCA, outdoor activities with his family, and relaxing with a good movie or sports on TV at the end of the day. His wife is our Office Administrator, Diane, and his three children are his 10-year-old son, Kyle, and his 6-year-old twin girls, Joy and Emily.
Dr. Coit grew up in a rural New Hampshire town, near the seacoast, called Greenland. She received her Bachelor of Agriculture degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She went on to receive her DVM at Colorado State University.
She has always been drawn towards learning about animal behavior. She encourages clients to see how they can influence their pet's behavior through understanding training techniques and practices. Keeping them physically and mentally healthy is a rewarding career. She enjoys promoting the animal-human bond through her work in preventative medical and surgical care from the earliest puppy/kitten stage through the geriatric years. "I love being a part of that family."
Dr. Coit has been married for 24 years and she has raised two daughters, now 22 and 18 years. She has raised and bred llamas for 27 years. Her other hobbies include horseback riding, llama treks and water-skiing, as well as sewing and cooking.

Diane Wysocki Hospital Administrator
Diane is originally from Cape Cod, MA, where she earned her associates degree as a legal secretary, a career which she held for 20 years prior to starting the practice she and Dr. Wysocki have here today. In the early stages of the practice, Diane spent many hours doing all the behind the scenes work. Today Diane is our Hospital Administrator. She handles all the financial matters of the hospital, including bookkeeping, payroll and taxes. She also works with our Office Manager to ensure the office runs efficiently.
She enjoys walks in the mountains with her family, yoga, needlework, crafts, reading and movies. She met and married Dr. Wysocki in Massachusetts. They now have 3 children (mentioned above), 1 cat, "Henry", and 2 gerbils "Joe and Fredrica" a/k/a "Fred".
Heather began working at ACPH in April 2002 as our receptionist. With her enthusiasm and knowledge, she has become invaluable as the team's office manager. She assists in keeping the day-to-day workings of the hospital flowing smoothly as well as handling client concerns. Although she is no longer regularly at the front desk, she still enjoys and intends to continue her contact with both clients and patients.
Heather lives in Arden with her husband of 5 years. They have a beautiful 4-year-old daughter. She and her husband are Carolina Tarheel fans, which is where they came up with the name for their daughter, Cara. Heather enjoys taking pictures and spending time outdoors. When she gets a chance, she visits her hometown in Western, NY. Another love of Heather's is her pets. She has a dog named "Turbo", and 2 cats: "Booger" and "Puffer Girl".

Karen Hall Receptionist
Karen's position at ACPH is at the front desk were she answers your questions, assist s clients with purchases and schedules appointments. She is always happy to help you and your pets have a caring and loving experience at our office.
Karen is a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in West Asheville. She has a son, a daughter, a 7-year-old grandson and two Alaskan huskies that rule her home. In her spare time, she likes to hike, watch her grandson play soccer and hang out with friends and family. Even though Karen is a native of Asheville, she still loves to explore the area. She has also been trying her hand at golf, but still hasn't decided to go on tour yet.
Mary Blake Receptionist
Mary works here at ACPH as our Receptionist on Saturdays. She also makes sure all the plants in the office get the same care as our patients. Mary has a varied background in canine care, including training, confirmation, obedience and tracking. She has worked in public and private kennels as well as in the animal health care field for several years. She believes there is something unique about every pet/client team and seeks to promote health and happiness.
Mary was introduced to Asheville and the mountains as a teenager, and she told herself, "Someday I will live here." And for the past 20 years, she has. Her hobbies include reading, tending to her houseplants (which includes and "heirloom" African Violet collection). She enjoys long walks with her K9 companion, Lily Belle.
Janet is a graduate of the Veterinary Technology program at St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, FL. She has worked throughout the southeast as a registered technician for 16 years. She has been a part of the ACPH family since it's beginnings in 2002.
Janet loves nurturing the human/pet bond by promoting wellness in pets both young and old. She takes a special interest in preventative dental care.
Janet shares her home in Black Mountain with her two young sons and a household of critters. In her spare time, Janet can be found outdoors with her children. She also likes to spend time in the kitchen baking, as well as reading and playing trumpet in her church.
Janet Pepin, RVT Veterinary Technician
Katie started working at ACPH in April of 2006 while finishing the Veterinary Technician program at AB Tech, from which she later graduated in August of 2006. Katie works as a Veterinary Technician and is also responsible for the ordering and managing of our inventory. She enjoys being a part of the ACPH team and getting to know the clients and patients we see every day.
In the off season, she likes shopping, designing clothes, and trying new things, otherwise her time is spent watching the Pittsburgh Steelers dominate the NFL! If you hear someone singing loudly and out of tune from the back of the clinic…that's Katie (and there is usually a dance that goes with it). Katie is married and has 3 children (four legged of course): Sunny, Takoda and Jack. She has lived in a variety of places including Illinois, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Australia.

Bailey is enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at AB Tech. She works as a groomer at Pet Soup during the week and a technician assistant with us on Saturdays. She loves the opportunity to educate the community on animal awareness and healthy lifestyles for their pets.
Bailey enjoys canoeing and horseback riding. She spends her spare time working in her organic garden. Bailey is in a committed relationship with her long time boyfriend Patrick. They have 4 dogs and 1 deaf cat. She has also been a vegetarian for the past 14 years.

Helen graduated from the College of Charleston, Sc, in the spring of 2007 with a B.S. in Anthropology. While attending school, she worked at 2 other veterinary hospitals to gain experience.
Helen works as a Technician here at ACPH. She loves being able to help take the pain away from “mans best friend”. She also enjoys interacting with animals and nursing them back to health.
Outside of work Helen has a great boyfriend, Dylan, and a Shepherd/Lab mix named Cheyenne who is her baby. She reads lots of books, her favorite movies are Horror films and she enjoys spending time with her friends while swimming, playing putt putt, bowling or watching sports whenever she can. Helen has also been skydiving 2 times.
Lisa has worked in veterinary medicine for 9 years, starting as a receptionist for Biltmore Veterinary Associates. Many long time clients may remember her smiling face. She enjoys being able to care for patients and educate clients in the family-like environment at ACPH.
Lisa and her husband Tracy married in 2001. Since 2005, they have renewed their vows annually in the Caribbean. Her family of critters includes 10 cats, 6 dogs, and 3 birds that graciously allow Lisa and Tracy to share their home.
In her free time Lisa enjoys gardening, cross-stitch, attending concerts and spending time with her friends and family.

Ava Bace
Veterinary Technician Assistant
Ava is a sophomore at UNC-A studying Biology and Ecology; she has a special interest in the science of mammalogy. She likes working with both the animals and the people at ACPH. She also loves the learning experience. “It’s like a new adventure everyday.”
While away from work and school Ava likes to hike, camp, go to concerts and travel. Back at her home in Wilmington, Ava has 2 dogs, 2 cats and a hedgehog. She has recently adopted a new lab mix puppy, Lily to have with her at school.
